Nicole Oakes accepted into LMU Circle of Omicron Delta Kappa

Nicole Oakes, of Tazewell, TN, was selected for membership in Omicron Delta Kappa at Lincoln Memorial University. Oakes was one of 16 students, staff and faculty members who joined the LMU circle on August 27, 2016.

The Society recognizes achievement in the the following five areas; scholarship; athletics; campus or community service, social or religious activities and campus government; journalism, speech and the mass media; and creative and performing arts. Oakes is a senior psychology major at LMU.

ODK is a national leadership honor society with a mission to identify, honor and develop leaders in collegiate and community life. The group was founded on December 3, 194 at Washington and Lee Univerisityin Lexington, Virginia. ODK was the first college honor society of a national scope to give recognition and honor for meritorious leadership and service in extracurricular activities and to encourage development of general campus citizenship.
